Cornstalk was a Shawnee chief and brother of Nonhelema.

On September 15, 1754, after escaping imprisonment by the French, Lucy Preston, Wyatt Logan, and Rufus Carlin are captured by Shawnee warriors.
Cornstalk was present when Nonhelema decided the fate of the prisoners. Nonhelema had Wyatt and Lucy marked for death, but spared Rufus, mistaking him for a slave due to his race. After Rufus came to Wyatt and Lucy's defense, Cornstalk advises Nonhelema to still kill the prisoners, but Nonhelema does not take his advice and frees Wyatt, Lucy, and Rufus.
